Country Café Support Assistant

3 days per week (Monday – Saturday)

We are looking for friendly, adaptable, committed and experienced members of staff to join our Country Park Team at The Lodge Trust.

Duties include: working as a member of Country Park/ Work and Education Services; to provide a high-quality, friendly service to the public; supporting and training our learning disability Service Users; preparing light meals; assisting the Country Park Manager.

There will be an element of flexibility required for this post, including cover for holidays and other absences. There may be some evening work involved.

The Lodge Trust may consider job share.

Residential Support and Pastoral Care Staff

Full-time/part-time positions from £8.23/hour, rising to £8.33/hour after completion of induction.

PrayerAre you a practising Christian who is a ‘people person’, looking for a new challenge, willing and able to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support for adults with learning disabilities, committed to developing their skills, promoting their choices and helping them realise their full potential?

We are looking for people who can support residents in their day to day lives, to give intimate personal care where needed, training and emotional support but above all to help them grow in their spiritual lives. To work a variety of shifts, including early start, late finish and weekends, which will be on a rota basis so a flexible approach is essential.

We are looking for people who God has called to support others.

The successful applicant will provide spiritual support to our residents and therefore will need to demonstrate an understanding of and have an active personal commitment to the Christian faith. You will be expected to be able and willing to share your faith boldly with those who ask. Your spiritual support of the many Christians among the people we support would include duties such as regular prayer for them, leadership in prayer with them, explanation of Bible passages and help with personal devotions.

Horticulture/Grounds Team Leader

 Full Time (37.5 hours) from £9.51/hour (depending on relevant experience)

Duties include: To manage all grounds at The Lodge Trust within a set budget; to ensure The Lodge Trust grounds and Country Park are maintained to a high standard; to support and train individuals or a group of adults with various learning disabilities in horticulture skills; to assist in the assessment of an individual’s needs and capabilities and breaking down work processes to meet those needs; to work as part of the horticulture team and provide cover for other areas as required; to support and liaise with the Work and Education Services Deputy Manager; to support the Health and Safety Manager in ensuring all regulations are adhered to across site.

Health and Social Care Apprentice

Become a partner churchIn association with the house senior, the successful applicants will provide a homely and safe environment for all residents; comply with the Care Standards for adults with learning disabilities; and support the house senior and Residential and Pastoral staff in maintaining the Christian ethos within the home.

The successful applicants must have a sympathetic attitude towards people with learning difficulties and be prepared to work with people with learning difficulties. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
